I am a 3, the 3 actually :-). I def think this is a universal challenge but i think 3's (and 8's i guess, types with control issues) may experience it in a different way. Maybe it is more of a challenge? The "heartbreak" is all good, Love is worth it. The lack of control is def more what i am working with (I almost used the words "struggling with" but it doesn't really feel like a struggle, it feels productive) Which to me means there are more lessons to be learned from such experiences!
